Like every Senator it descends from Penn's 1936 star-drag design, and the H marks the faster Special version: a little under 3-to-1 on this size, against roughly 2-to-1 on the plain black 114, with red side plates and, generally, a larger drag stack.
Penn still sells parts, so a tired reel is rarely a lost cause. Our latest snapshot found about 50 complete 114Hs, most at $60 to $110 delivered.
On a reel this size the drag is what matters, so favour listings that say tested or show the drag stack. The same snapshot also turned up several zero-feedback sellers reusing other sellers' exact titles and photos, a common scam pattern, so buy from established sellers and pay only through eBay.
